That's why, for 2026, we're introducing the Personal Advancement Power Hour; a new conference feature designed to help delegates translate learning into meaningful career progression.

The Personal Advancement Power Hour is designed to help you take meaningful steps towards your professional goals by combining personalised support with dedicated time for reflection and action planning.
Participants will be able to flow between three concurrent experiences throughout the session:
One-to-One Career Mentoring with Expert Consultants
Book a 10-minute confidential mentoring session with one of our experienced leadership and career development consultants. Whether you are looking to progress to the next grade, strengthen your personal brand, improve your interview performance, or navigate a specific workplace challenge, these tailored conversations will provide an experienced sounding board and actionable advice that you can immediately apply to your career journey.
Networking and Knowledge-Sharing with Civil Service Networks
Meet representatives from a range of influential civil service networks and discover the support available to you from these communities across government.
This informal networking space will allow you to ask questions, share experiences, and learn about initiatives that can support your professional development and build cross-departmental connections.

Facilitated Reflection and Action Planning Sessions

By the end of the Power Hour, participants will have expanded their professional network, gained expert career advice, and developed a tailored practical plan to support their continued growth and success within the Civil Service in a way that is personally significant.
We're delighted to welcome Samantha Jones, Permanent Secretary at the Department of Health and Social Care, as the opening keynote speaker for our London conference. Her career journey, from nursing to Number 10 and now Permanent Secretary, reflects the ambitious and authentic leadership Women into Leadership champions.
The conference will be immediately followed by the Women into Leadership Awards, recognising outstanding women who are driving change across the public sector. Now in its third year, the awards celebrate leadership at every level and shine a spotlight on those making a lasting impact.
